This picture was one of the very first pictures I ever saw of the ICONic Boyz. Sure, it’s not a picture of all of them, but this picture really takes me back. Before the tour, before any TV appearances (besides SYTYCD and ABDC), before they ever had Meet & Greet and even before when Vin was still with the boyz. This picture to me is like a safe. Like, you can look at it and forget about all the other bullshit that ever went down in the fanbase and all the people who left. You can look at this and just love the boyz, remember and all the friends you have made from joining Tumblr, and you can see the boyz for the normal kids who love dance, who they really are. You can look at this and see how far they’ve gotten and how YOU as a true fan stuck with them through it all. From April 14th, Summer ‘11, Today and all the little moments in between that make you the ICONiac you are. It doesn’t even matter how long you have been a fan- If you’ve been a fan since the very beginning or a week ago, you are still one more person who gets to sit alongside these boyz and watch them as they dominate the dance world. I can look at this right now and see how they are just kids from Jersey with a passion for dance and a very blessed life. I really do love the boyz, and I could never thank Geo, the boyz’ parents, and whoever decided they were going to be debuting on ABDC 2011 enough. What if Vinny never consented with his dad into doing dance and he got into sports instead? What if Madison actually never saw Geo performing at that recreation center in the mall? What if the ICONic Boyz weren’t ever in my life, what if they lived their entire lives not even thinking about giving dance a chance; what if they never even knew about ICON Dance Complex? If all these things never happened I would probably be a completely different person than I am now. I probably wouldn’t even be here right now if it weren’t for them, to be honest, I can’t picture my life without them in it. So I can look at this picture, remember everything, be grateful for everything and proudly call myself an ICONiac today on April 14th, 2012. Congratulations boyz, you’ve made everyone around you more than proud and I could never find a way to completely thank you for keeping me going all these months. I love you and all your ICONiacz are completely proud of you, today is your day. And thank you to all the ICONiacz worldwide, on any website, that have supported the boyz through it all this year. At the end of the day, we’re a family. Every single one of us all love the same group of dancing boyz from New Jersey. I have never loved a band/group/artist or any person for so long. Today, April 14th, will be just another Saturday for some people. But for me, it is one of the most remarkable days of the year. Wow, I can’t believe it has been a year, and I’m really excited for the future and what’s in store for these talented boyz. So with all that being said, Happy one year anniversary to the ICONic Boyz, to the ICONiacz, to Geo and to everyone. ♥
